Iodoral is an inorganic, non-radioactive form of iodine.

Every cell utilizes iodine. It is concentrated in the thyroid gland, salivary glands, cerebrospinal fluid, brain, gastric mucosa, breasts and ciliary body of the eye. Because different tissues concentrate different forms of iodine, it is essential to use a supplement that contains both iodide and iodine (i.e. the prostate gland concentrates iodine, but the thyroid gland concentrates iodide).
