YFWM Bloggers: Are they hanging in there?!

"Changing the way you eat can be very difficult! This has been a struggle for me. I wish I could say I have only had one cheat day-but I can’t. Reinventing my eating habits has been a challenge. I will say this, after eating something that was not a part of the yeast-free diet, I felt horrible! That feeling is enough for me to keep trying to improve the way I eat and in turn, feel better. My goal is to continue adopting better eating habits and moving forward towards my goal of a healthier lifestyle." -Jessica

"I feel that have I had a good yeast free run this time around! I am pretty happy with my progress and the way that I feel. Up until this week I was sooo good, but then I did cheat one time, on a team luncheon. Other than that I have stayed true to my yeast-free plan. The scale has moved downward by 5 pounds and I had set a higher goal, so I am going to watch calories more this next week. The thing about yeast free is that it doesn’t necessarily translate to weight loss but it has helped a lot with bloating and I have had people say that it looks like I have lost weight… so that’s good! I am going to continue yeast-free for another month because I just feel so much better. I am also just learning the extent of my food allergies and I am nervous to add anything back into my diet. When I am following the yeast-free diet I do not have any of those problems so I plan to keep on going! I would love to hear what everyone else is doing to transition back into a non yeast-free eating plan!"

"The beginning is always the hardest! Feeling icky, fatigued, and experiencing headaches. There is never any disappointment for those who wait and persevere through the misery of die-off symptoms, right? What I noticed after the first week of yeast-free, is clearer thinking, relief from chronic headaches (Go figure! I saw that one coming), and of course more room in my pants! On the days where I cheated, like on Super Bowl Sunday, the next day I definitely felt crummy. My brain wasn’t as sharp, my energy level was mediocre, and I felt bloated!!! I don’t know about you but I didn’t like it. I liked feeling “lighter”, fresh, and sharp! It makes me want to stay eating clean all the time and enjoy the “fun foods” every now and then. Good luck on the rest of your Yeast-Free Eating!" -Kristin

I have been on the yeast free diet since lase Jan. I cheated a few times in the beginning, but have mainly stayed the course. I have been on the yeast free diet for 4 months since I am still fighting throat thrush. I am taking Dr. Hotze's probiotics, taking garlic supplements, and vitamin pills. I have lost 40 pounds and 2 pant sizes. Is this too much weight to lose in 4 months?

Thanks for all of your notes. I am beginning my yeast free diet this week. I am equally excited and nervous. Based on your comments, I am going to make many of the snacks and freeze what I can. I am thinking that having some delicious snacks available for those impulse moments will help me through. Are many of you still YF? or was it just a cleanse for you?
