Summer Shape Up, Week 4: Supplementing for Success

Over the past few weeks, we have talked about the importance of eating well and exercising to ensure success on your summer shape up.  But letís not forget another key component that happens to be near and dear to our hearts:  vitamins and supplements!

Fuel your body with the nutrients you need, not just to get through the day, but to help you look and feel great!  Vitamins and nutrients are the building blocks our bodies need to reach optimal health.  Our bodies use them to support everyday functions, from energy supply to immune protection, and with the increasing toxin load in our environment, the need is even more urgent.  While foods are supposed to supply sufficient nutrition for our bodies, the vitamin content in our food has decreased so dramatically over the past several decades that it is virtually impossible to reach optimal levels without supplementation.
